The aim of the group is to encourage and promote interest in road safety by providing help and advice to those members of the general motoring public who wish to review, adapt and update their driving / riding skills

Our Group:

Advanced driving has been promoted by the Southern group since the mid 1950's. Our group is one of fifty nationwide associations that form part of RoSPA. The group was formed under the League of Safe Drivers by a number of people with an interest of driving and improving road safety. The group covers a large part of the Hampshire and parts of Wiltshire. This area is home to some of the most challenging and enjoyable roads in the UK. In summer months there rarely is a weekend that passes where there is not a fatal accident – ask any motorcyclist or driver who knows the main routes. With this in mind we are dedicated to improving driving and riding skills to help reverse this trend.

Our Members:

Due to our heritage we have been able to maintain a consistent membership. We now have around 150 associate and full members. Without their support we would not exist so it goes without saying they are very important to the group. We are always very keen to recruit new members.
